The Inclusive Eating Disorder Advanced Specialist Credential (IEDAS)
What is the IEDAS Credential ?
IEDAS is an advanced certification that recognizes clinicians who pursue advanced, values-aligned eating disorder training and education through high-support consultation, accountability, and demonstrated skill development. It requires 18 months of consultation via the IEDE Consultation Cohort program (or meeting rigorous equivalency standards).
This program was designed to help clinicians integrate inclusive eating disorder treatment knowledge learned from the IEDS Certification into confident, ethical practice, while providing connection and community for learners. Each consultation term combines a learning theme with case consultation and structured feedback, supporting clinicians to strengthen clinical judgment, collaboration, and role clarity over time.
Expectations for Consultation Cohorts: Consultation + learning themes + assessment = IEDAS Certification
Therapists, dietitians, medical providers, and coaches are welcome to join us.
Who is IEDAS for?
IEDAS is for therapists, dietitians, allied medical clinicians, and coaches who want higher-level consultation and skills development in eating disorder care. If you’re early in your journey, the first step is the completing the IEDS comprehensive training, or meeting rigorous equivalency standards.
Outcome Expectations: IEDAS Consultation Cohorts
By the end of the 18 month* IEDAS Consultation Program, learners will have strengthened ability to:
Apply inclusive eating disorder treatment frameworks to complex, real cases, moving far beyond only “content knowledge”
Clarify scope, roles, overlaps, and teamwork across disciplines
Identify common clinical pitfalls (“nutrition traps,” treatment drift, inclusivity, countertransference, overreach, avoidance, complex presentations including comorbidities)
Provide more consistent assessment, evaluation, and treatment planning across eating disorder presentations
Receive direct, structured feedback that supports clinical competency development, ethical practice, and clinician confidence over time
Find professional community and connect with your peers who sharer your values and passions
* An additional 7th or 8th term may be recommended based on learning needs.
